We seek to increase financial literacy among female youth through classes, workshops, fairs, and networking opportunities. We are also piloting our new mentorship program. Through our mailing list, we provide free online resources to members of our mailing list and communicate about upcoming classes and events. We have members in the local Bay Area and we have recently expanded our reach to students in Bronx, NY. While our target group is female girls aged 7-18, boys are welcome to attend our events.
Our elementary school "REACH" level helps to start youth early in financial education. We want to help elementary school students reach an understanding about the importance of financial literacy. Learning the basic skills necessary to achieve a jump-start a financially stable future, elementary aged students attend a series of workshops targeted towards different money skills. Workshops are meant to provide free financial literacy classes to students aged 7-11 in the Bay Area community and have been proven to improve financial literacy within one class.
Our middle school ''INSPIRE" level teaches intermediate concepts including budgeting, types of bank accounts, and investing. We want to inspire students to learn financial literacy concepts in middle school.Instruction includes 2-3 hour finance workshop, which also includes a pre-test and post-test to gauge how much students have learned. We also provide networking opportunities and connect these students to finance professionals. We have recently expanded our reach to middle school students in Bronx, NY.
